This was so great and eye opening! I think I deal most with this is taking too long I should be here at this point. What would you suggest for this issue I am having please?
Great to pinpoint one of the core issues. That awareness is the first step. Then it’s about taking that insight and plugging it into a mental conditioning protocol to change the underlying belief and the behaviour.
My Go Deep to Level Up mental conditioning protocol is designed specifically to help traders overcome these kinds of execution issues: https://credeperformance.com/level-up
If it sounds like it might be a fit, but you’d like to talk it through in the context of your own trading, I’d be happy to chat on a Zoom call. Just send me a message here if you’d like to set that up!
thanks for breaking down this trader dilemma so structurally. i see i am facing "If you perceive that money is perpetually scarce, every half-formed setup looks like an opportunity to escape the discomfort of “not enough”. i had took countless bad trades which i realized was wrong decision the next moment but still reluctant to cut it, it eventually snowball to the biggest mistake of my life.
I’m glad the article resonated! That’s the problem with core limiting beliefs — they can override logic, and the cycle tends to get exacerbated under pressure. So if that scarcity mindset impacts execution on the first trade of the day, you’re then under even more pressure on the next trade, and it can snowball from there.
In my Go Deep to Level Up program, I include a guided “Meeting Money” visualization where traders meet their personification of money. It can be really eye-opening in uncovering what someone’s relationship with money looks like at a deeper level.
Struggle with this and the other 2 daily "If you’ve been brought up with a value system that says working hard is a noble and virtuous pursuit, sitting idly by waiting for the perfect setup is a direct threat to your self-concept."
That one is so tricky because it’s a belief that gets rewarded in other arenas. It’s common that there would be a few core beliefs all running at the same time, but often there is one that is more impactful than the others.
If the “working hard” one is the key one, then a really simple and useful exercise to do is to create a “trading job description” for yourself and actually put in writing what trading is asking of you. That gives you a concrete way of challenging what the belief assumes.
